Now, we have hardwood floors running in one direction in the audio room and hardwood running perpendicular in the adjacent hall. The two woods meet at the door threshold, but there is no true physical separation. The audio room floor is on top of the floating concrete. Could this physical connection be a weak link and causing flanking of sound. Should we physically separate the two hardwood floors (and plywood subfloor ?) would this obviate the need for a second door ???
