Really?I just looked at the specs on my Tektronix TDS2002 Digital Storage Oscilloscope that I bought in 2003 and the PicoScope has better dynamic specs than my Tektronix. Of course, I didn't see a spec for distortion on my Tektronix, but its digitizer has only 8-bits resolution, which equates to 48-dB. Therefore, I would guess the PicoScope has even better distortion specs, too.
Have you ever owned an oscilloscope? What are the specs of the scope you own? I used to calibrate and repair oscilloscopes for a living. I was a PMEL technician in the Air Force. Therefore, I wouldn't consider an oscilloscope a tool for making precision measurements. If you want to make distortion measurements, you need a spectrum analyzer or a distortion analyzer.
