RE: Bounds of science?

"Didn't know it had any..."

I view science as an approach to gaining knowledge. I do not view science as an organized body of truth—that would be Science, capital S, which may be the present day state religion, but as such it is nothing more than dogma and will almost certainly be seen to be absurd from the perspective of future centuries. (This is about as likely as the sun rising tomorrow.)

So now the question is, "Are their limits to what the scientific method can discover?" I think this is pretty straightforward. The answer is "Yes, but we can't know in detail what these are."

All branches of science depend on logic and most depend on various branches of mathematics as well. It is well established that there are limits to the power of logic and mathematics, as has been known since the early 1930's. In other words, there are limitations to the human mind. Don't ask me to state what these limitations are, because to do so I would need a super human mind, a perspective that I presently lack. :-)
