Kristian,
As I started reading this post of yours I almost started to believe you could actually communicate inteligentlly, sadly I was mistaken when I saw it was one more LFO-based post calling me names i.e. tube boy and leading to an attack on my SET based audio system as being a great, big tonecontrol that alters the sound of the signal in many ways. I realise that's only your mistaken LFO opinion but, I'm saddened to see you like many of your kind are willing to pass judgement on an audio system you've never heard. No Kristian I don't know that my system radically alters the sound of the recording before it even reaches the room. Fact is my system doesn't do that but, that's something you'll never know being fixated in your beliefs. Fact is it comes closer to replicating the sound of live unamplified music as I say it does than any solid state amp I've ever owned.
Amazing where you're actually partially correct is no audio system can make violin ---{ or any other instrument or singer }--- sound exactly like a real unamplified violin! Unfortunately none of the recording are good enough and all audio components are colored to some extent.
Now before you go all LFO berserk, like AJinFLA and claim that I'm angry because I'm disagreeing with you. Perhaps you should know I've owned some very nice solid state amps as well such as the CM Labs, Harmon Kardon Citation 16, Mark Levinson ML-2, Audio Analogue Puccini OCM 200 & still own a JungSon DIA-200. Kristian I know there's good & bad in every topology. I just don't understand how people can believe after owning these fine amps I'd choose a high distortion, colored device. All I know is since owning the Mastersound almost 7 years now I've not once considered upgrading! I never owned any solid state amp for over 3 years without upgrading. Why? Because something was missing or just not right. Whatever that something was the Mastersound had it and I'm happy with it.
Sad part is the more you talk the more ignorant you're looking.
