A Serious Proposal

I hope this doesn't get deleted because it's a serious proposal to those here on AA who post letters stating they're not just attacking tweaks but, rather they're posting them in order to protect poor, unsuspecting audiophiles, they're worried are being ripping off of their hard earned dollars by fraudulent shucksters! According to these posters these fraudulent shucksters of "snake-oil" are playing on the uninformed audiophile's susceptibility to suggestion, placebo effects or overdetecion!

Well then "if" that's the truth, I propose that if they don't want to come off appearing as simply being self-righteous, frauds who only want to vilify anything they cannot understand, they should really help these audiophiles they're "supposedly" so worried about! I submit that they cannot claim they are helping these audiophiles with their posts because in spite of years of such type posts on their part, the area of tweaks in audio has grown considerably! So it's quite obvious these posts aren't really helping very much, if at all.

So I propose if these people who post about the ineffectiveness of tweaks honestly cared these gulliable audiophiles being parted from their hard-earned dollars ---{ something which I must admit I highly doubt any of them really you do }--- then as caring people you'd do something, like manufactering extremely cheap equivalents of these supposedly fraudulent tweaks! If they did this they could actually help these gulliable audiophiles being parted from their hard-earned dollars by selling them extremely cheap equivalents of these supposedly fraudulent tweaks at the cost of producing and shipping them! For Example: Large Brilliant Pebbles, cost = $129. If they honestly believe these pebbles don't work as described go to a hobby shop, buy some shiney pebbles, place them in a plastic bag and sell them for $10-$20 ---{ or whatever their cost & shipping comes to }--- they'd be saving some poor, gulliable audiophile over $100 and that's using one of the less expensive tweaks as an example!

This action on their part would truly save these poor audiophiles from being parted with perhaps thousands of dollars of their hard-earned cash. In addition it would keep their naysayers quiet by proving their interest was honestly in these audiophiles only and not in just bad mouthing tweaks they don't understand, because they'd be selling the tweaks at cost! They could even honestly market these "substitute tweaks" with the claim your tweaks will product the exact same results as the tweaks they're replacing! They can legitimately do this because they don't believe either tweak really works, so the end results will, according to their beliefs, be exactly the same.

If even one of the posters against tweaks did this, as opposed to just constantly whinning in post after post that their BS alarm is going off or they're honestly just trying to save gulliable audiophiles from being parted with their hard-earned cash, it would be a lot easier to believe their true motives are to protect other audiophiles, like they claim they are and not just another post in an endless series of posts from LFOs condemning any tweak they don't understand the reasons behind why it works!

The ball is now in their court...
