Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

Hey chemist, what evidence do you have that you can hear better than anyone else?

The problem is that you view it as an effect that can be superimposed on top of the existing electronic device and this isn't the case.

Oh really? This is obviously some rule from chemistry? It doesn't apply to electronics. You really should stick to chemistry.

The other pattern of distortion will still be there and it will still be audible

Because a chemist says so.

whatever audibility the so-called "tube geneartor".

This is not a distortion that you will hear, because you crave tube distortion and grotesque signal compression/clipping. Someone in good mental health would easily hear this on your low efficiency panels.

Two wrongs still don't make a right but some wrongs are worse sounding than others.

Finally something we agree on! Yes, combining a tube distortion generator like your gutless low power amps with a low efficiency loudspeaker like your mediocre Acoustat panels are two wrongs that when added will certainly sound worse than each individually. No doubt.

cheers,

AJ

Funny thing, in Audiophile circles if you can hear things others cannot, you are revered, in society, you are sent for treatment.
