Technical Knowledge & Objectivist Semantics...

Kerr,

You've definitely hit the nail on the head when you stated: I guess I trumpet it because it keeps coming up from the other side. Of course, they don't *say* it that way. It's like the "it all sounds the same" crowd. They don't say it all sounds the same, they say nothing sounds different. Semantics.

Pat D claimed I also was "trumpeting a strawman" when I stated objectivists claim;

1) Subjectivists will always prefer the more expensive audio component.
2) Subjectivists will always prefer the more visually attractive audio component.
3) Subjectivists will always prefer the one component they expect to prefer over another audio component, simply because they expected too!

Like you said it's all simply semantics! Anyone who's honest knows that #3 has been expressed as being a result of "expectation bias" god knows how many times here by some objectivists and RBG a bona fide member of the LFO group here and the Tampa weiner have stated #1 and #2 in one variation or another, numerous times here! The other side wants to make blanket statements yet when confronted for making them, they claim they never made those statements and then accuse us of making straw man arguements for claiming they did!
