Y'all may pull off my audio epaulettes and break my sword, but...

Tonight, I'm a happy audiophile.

There are more days than not when I sit down to listen and just can't believe these inanimate objects can do what they do, let alone criticize their failings.

I think it will be NEVER that Hi Fi systems can recreate the absolute sound, but, damn, they do so much so well, I just can't get into their flaws so much as I marvel at the miracles they already perform.

Maybe I'm not critical enough.

In my wine hobby, I tend toward forgiving wines that satisfy my two basic criteria:

1) The wine must pour well.

2) The wine must assume the shape of its container.

Everything after that is a bonus.

Even the dang radio in my car is so good that I can tell right away that it's Elvis Costello singing. So, at home, I kind of think, how much more can I expect than that miraculous occurrance?

We are PFL (L = lucky.)

So, apologies. Once I sober up, I'll get back to being critical.
