RE: Carnegie Hall doesn't measure flat

Why should it???

BUT

in order to faithfully reproduce Carnegie Hall the loudspeakers must measure flat, otherwise you get a response different from the one measured in Carnegie Hall. If the hall boosts the bass, just as an example, and your speakers boost the bass too, then you get a double bass boost.

Re: high-end speakers are not accurate

There are a few good and way too many bad examples. I have seen high-end speakers that measure "flat" ±5 dB!!!
