I said I wouldn't buy the knob

and I don't sell them either, and that a 3M tube dampener, $4.95 from Music Direct, IIRC, could do some nice increase in sonics. I also suggested trying some o rings, probably $0.30 at a plumbing store. Yes, I can see myself as a millionaire in a couple of weeks....8^).
Sheesh, try to shed a little light on the subject and I get guys like you on my butt. I am not selling anything related to this thread, thus I have no ambition to try and prove anything, especially to you. As I stated earlier, I can hear a difference, and I actually tore apart an Alps pot to investigate. At the very least, I try to find a cause for what I hear. I do not simply rely on reading reports by others.
