Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

And your point is?

I've said this on more than one occasion in these threads - a poor recording can sound good but it might be ruined if it was "well recorded" AND a good recording can sound good but it might be ruined if it were "poorly recorded".

GIVEN THE RECORDING INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN SOUND QUALITY AND RECORDING QUALITY. PERIOD - TO SUGGEST OTHERWISE IS TO PROPAGATE AN AUDIOPHILE MYTH.

As audiophiles, ie. people interested in achieving the highest sound quality, we should be cognitive of this fact not blinded by audiophile myth.

It's not unusual for people to be disappointed the first time they hear their favorite songs or bands live!
