OK so you can get better "sound" through better playback. Now lets take a hypathetical. Lets say Concrete Blonde recorded the same music two ways. One way is the way you alrady know and love it the other way they roll off the lows at 100 hz, compress the dynamic range to within 5 db and then jack up the highs with EQ by 18 db. Which is going to "sound" better?
