The ice in Antarctica is getting thicker, while the Arctic ice melts. No one knows why there has been some warming on the Northern half of the planet and cooling in the Southern half. The average temperature 68 years after humans significantly increased manmade CO2 in the air (after 1940) was LOWER (end of 2008).
Land thermometers showed a slight decline from 1940 to the mid-1970's -- causing some scientists to predict global cooling in 1975 (reported in Newsweek at the time).
Using the weather satellites since 1979 (the ONLY global measurements ever), with accuracy verified by weather balloon measurements, the average temperature at the end of 2008 was about the same as in 1979.
So we've had a huge ramp up of manmade CO2 since 1940 + NO change in the average temperature = the Greenhouse Gas Theory is obviously WRONG!
Over 18,000 years of rising sea level so far -- glacier melting will most likely stop when we cool off approaching the next Ice Age. I'm learning how to skate right now -- Michigan was under a few miles of ice during the last Ice Age, and that's just too much for ice fishing!
