Let's take an other example. Serve the cheapest wine you can find to your friend, telling him that it's a "grand cru", and then ask him what are his impressions. If he tells you it's the best wine he has ever tasted, you have learned that your friend is a snob, not that cheap wines actually taste great... or that all wines taste the same, for that matter.
I'm sure Richard if your friend tells you that he can't say anything about your interconnects because they are blue and blue is his favorite color, you won't think he's a very reasonable man.
