That's not even the issue. At one time it was accepted across-the-board that vinyl was more-resolute than CD..... All these people were doing was question the resolution of our hearing going beyond that of CD......
Another argument used is that the distortion of CD is far lower than that of vinyl...... This notion is flawed, and I've explained this elsewhere on AA. See link.
The thread? People can spin things any way they want. But it's kind of nuts that this new "method" of comparison took a good 25 years to make discussion.....
My point? It's like these people are constantly trying to come with any reason they can think of to convince themselves that the audio playback method they prefer is "unequivocally superior" to what's preferred by others...... But while they try to spin notions and numbers to their liking, all they end up doing is fool themselves.......
