RE: Not so fast there mister.

I understand what you mean when you say a vinyl cutting machine can't break molecular bonds. What I am asking is: why? I'm presuming the argument would have to do with the amount of thermal/machanical energy a cutting head driven that way could transfer to each molecule but wish for more detail.

This analog vs digital debate comes up so often that I was just hoping someone could logically connect the dots as to why one is superior. So far all we have here is some extreme gaping holes in the logic and leaps of faith. I'm not trying to imply these leaps are unfounded only that I need it broken down to a bit more elementary level.

After all this tiny detail, which could be the difference between one answer and the other, seems to be too important to hand wave past if that is what has been done. If there is some simple law of the universe I'm missing here that proves I'm being ridiculous then let's have it.
