But it is analog and converted to digital after reception. The data extracted from the carrier is an analog representation of digital data.

Just to clarify this for you. I don't believe RFI is the issue it's claimed to be by some audiophiles. I think there are other things involved in converting a digital signal into it's analog that are, or at least should be, more problematic than noise issues.
