"No and I do not need to."
Well you would need some argument in order to believed when making such blanket statements. Since you haven't supplied anything what are we left with...it's true because you say so? Sorry, that isn't very satisfying.
"The question I will ask you, can you assert with a straight face that vinyl record resolution is anywhere close to 96dB?"
According to manufacturer specs my particular table should measure around 78dB of rumble when measuring per the DIN 45-530B method so I wouldn't be able to go beyond that even if I had vinyl that would allow it. However I don't know what a money is no object design from the worlds greatest designer could yield and can't say whether this would beat 96dB. I do know that in my case no where near top shelf materials were used in the spindle bearing etc. and expect there could be at least some more to be had even for this system. I suspect 96dB or better could be achivable under the right circumstances.
"Yes, you are, for one your presumption does not hold. A cutting head will not cut a vinyl molecule it will cease to be a vinyl molecule if that were possible ;^). Can we stick to what physically possible."
Buzzz! Wrong answer. It takes very low amounts of energy to break the bonds of a vinyl molecule. Consider the scratches all records suffer from aka degradation of the vinyl. Because vinyl doesn't happen to be very chemically reactive with what is typically found in the wild says nothing about how easy it is to destroy in the hands of a clever monkey.
Besides as Carcass established below it is metal cutting not vinyl cutting we are talking about here.
