"If the results are being corrupted because of the operation of the circuitry then the device is defective."
I guess that makes just about every digital audio device ever conceived "defective".......
"I don't understand why proper grounding and circuit routing techniques aren't being used to make this a non issue."
It actually makes this a bigger issue. People don't realize classical grounding techniques need to be tossed out the window, because the RFI penetrates the grounding of the electronics. (I suspect this is why an analog source sounds worse with an idle-but-active digital product connected to the system. This is why a lot of digital audio products do *not* utilize the ground wire on a three-wire electrical line.)
By the way, whenever I see the word "proper", I'd like to know according to what. At least with grounding, unlike some other entities in electrical/electronic protocol, does have criteria that constitutes "proper".
"Why don't you enlighten me on this as having worked in the communications industry these issues always come to the forefront in new designs and board layouts but they get worked out before final acceptence testing."
This is because the issue has been swept under the rug, and the design community pretends that it has never been a problem. This is IMO one of the major elements at the core of why digital audio has not advanced as far as a lot of us have hoped.
