blaming the design problems missed by overlooking things like vibration and real world loading on the "objectivist" standard bench test suite merely points out a preconcieved and probably misplaced bias against "objectists" IMO. I say this since clearly we are dealing with complex systems which overlap many engineering disciplines and an adequate bench test suite would necessarily contain elements to determine design performance in the face of all parameters affecting performance in real world application. I think if what you're saying is true then it more points to the inadequecies of the designer/testers in question than the ability of modern technology and theory in general as applied by competent individuals or teams to explain, predict and measure the performance degradations which could show up as a result of these situations.
