Actually I didn't see any that were designated as natural sounding as opposed to merely high fi spectacular that were likely to have been recorded with anything other than minimalist techniques.

What does the CD have to do with anything? Those are LPs. OTOH I have a number of those titles and comparisons I have made to their CD counterparts that likely ran the signal through the said circuitry further support the argument against the use of that circuitry. It does seem that the companies that make the best sounding CD reissues are the same ones using purist techniques and avoiding said circuitry. Isn't the pattern pretty obvious?
