This is an obvious underhanded tricky scheme to sell your speakers!
Two things I won't play really loud are Telarc cannons, Sheffield Kodo drums and your fireworks recording -- I don't want my driver cones shooting across the room and poking my eye out.

Well no, actually the recordings are various versions of a stereo image preserving microphone invention i am working on. They work best on headphones typically, that's why i suggested them first.
I mention fireworks as your moniker suggest you like bass, but there are a few others and one can control the volume on both headphones and speakers.
"The Monster-in-Law bellowing "TURN IT DOWN OR I'LL CALL THE POLICE" pretty much eliminates the audibility of any other distortion harmonics."
Umm, a tough spot, "Deputy Dan has no friends" and best to avoid his visits..
