I never said that all sound different just all that I have tested...there is a big difference. So don't make another strawman.

When I tested 11 different preamps...all level matched with SPL meter to within 0.5db, they each gave their own character to the overall sound and were therefore audible. A few tests were done single blind just for a spot check (the ones tested were reliably identified) and the rest was done sighted. I know you don't believe that it is possible to hear a difference sighted so I won't bother trying to convince you.
