Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

"I make no claims of superiority of either the system or my ears."

Very few people have the opportunity for long-term listening to a component before they make a purchase decision.

Those audiophiles susceptible to the "all components sound different myth" could be disappointed by their new interconnects after the good feelings from the purchase eventually wear off and they read a new review about some great new interconnects in Stereopile.

Those audiophiles who have tested their ears comparing interconnects would not worry if they selected their interconnects out of a box holding a dozen pairs while they were blindfolded.

Many audiophiles feel good from a new purchase but the important question is how many really hear a difference versus their old component.

The answer may be close to 100% with new speakers, but perhaps closer to 0% with new interconnects.
