The results of an uncalibrated test are simply not transferable to another situation. However, as Richard keeps pointing out, audiophiles may swear up and down they hear differences sighted but often they seem to disappear when a blind test is done a few minutes later. They may not show up in the statistics.

A test may be a statistically valid for showing audible differences, even though precisely what causes the audible differences has not been established.

Simply calling a test "poor" doesn't cut it. Poor in relation to what purpose? You avoid answering that question.
