"3) Measuring equipment is more sensitive than ears (gasp!)."

It's been a common claim..... But the problem isn't whether or not measurements are more-sensitive within each measurement's scope (the claim in most such cases is probably true), the problem is there are not yet enough perspectives covered by available measuring technology to adequately and reliably depict the sonic character of audio components to where it correlates with general aural perception.

Great measurements mean nothing if it sounds awful. But if it sounds great, measurements should at least show that it does so for the right reasons.
