Gentlemen,
Last week I had a guy over who has played violin since he was four years old. Recently he's been shopping, listening to a lot of speakers in a lot of high end shops and wanted to hear the Orions. After about 30 minutes, he relaxed back into the chair with a smile on his face saying that he was hearing natural, balanced, and transparent sound; that instruments and ensembles "sound right"; that he was finally hearing real music. In a four-hour session we must have sampled 30 more recordings with essentially the same result.
I have been listening to my Orions with great satisfaction for about a year now and--more and more--find myself listening to music and spending a lot less time tweaking, thinking about audio gear, visiting audio sites, or "wanting more". The quest for beautiful music in my house is pretty much over.
I just took ~30 min to read through this thread, and--while I certainly could have missed something--I didn't notice anyone who has actually heard the Orion or the Orion+. That's at least "interesting", given the length (and vigor) of this thread. Maybe we should all (me too) shut down our computers for a while and go listen to some music. Have a beer or glass of wine. Relax.
Pete
