RBG,
You LFOs really make me laugh. When my posts were short and concise you guys claim I didn't provide sufficient enough info. When I attempt to explain in detail you guys complain my posts long-winded! I believe this is just one more way LFOs are always attempt to find fault with subjectivists.
What's really funny is your claim the knowledge of auditioning speakers in one's own room with one's own ears is more important than speaker measurements & is something anyone over the age of 16 already knows! I'm amazed you actually believe this --- not the part about auditioning speakers in one's own room with one's own ears being more important than speaker measurements because like you I know that to be true --- the funny part is where you stated as if anyone over the age of 16 didn't already know this. Richard "if" anyone over the age of 16 already knows this why am I mocked & berated by your fellow LFOs when I make that same claim? Is the naswer that extremist objectivists aren't mentally over 16?
F.Y.I. Richard the post's actual topic wasn't about knowing that auditioning speakers in one's own room with one's own ears is more important than speaker measurements. The post was an attempt to show:
1) The human ear/brain was able, through listening to detect problems that Dr Linkwitz's measurements & specs didn't detect!
2) An audio components measurements & specs don't directly correlate with an audio components ability to replicate the sound of live, unamplified music.
You're correct about one thing though this place is really nuts! Hey did Nicolas and Tony stop by with my "babies" yet?
