Technical and scientific discussion of amps, cables and other topics.

I Hope You Take This as Constructive Criticism...

As opposed to a personal attack...

"Consider the number of appalling, offensive things that you've said."

What did I say that was offensive? (I really don't care if you think what I state is "apalling.")

"First, you're outright accusing me of trying to pawn off something irrelevant."

I will not even deny that. Although I do think it is unintentional.

The problem is you keep telling people to "read the literature," but more-often than not, the literature you reference turns out to be either irrelevant or obsolete. I sometimes get the impression you tell people to "read the literature" because you are not confident in explaining the subject matter in your own words. But I do not want to speculate further.

Have you ever wondered why I think Nyquist's theorem is flawed?? I would *not* have come to that conclusion had I merely "read literature."

"Second, if you ONLY accept first-hand experience, you can't learn anymore than you can discover youself in your own life. That is rather limiting."

If I tried learning everything from a book, I would be flipping hamburgers for a living. And have an audio system with products based solely on others' recommendations.
