Hi.
The very common practice is to have the live & neutral lines passing thru
common mode/differential mode ferrite-cored cascading chokes so that the EMI/RFI noises can be effectively cancelled out inside the chokes.
As for the signal reference ground busses commonly shared among components, noise blocking circuitry should be installed btween the earthed chassises of the components & their respective signal reference ground buses.
Of course, for impedance-balanced line interface, such ground bus contamination can be eliminated.
