Re: test for transients

As I remember, (it's been more than 25 years) the triangle peak should be the same height at the square wave. When we do this without computers, we make a square wave, then integrate it to make a triangle wave, etc. As I recall the triangle wave fit just inside the square wave envelope. Now don't worry so much, after all the fundamental should be at the same level, in either case. In truth, you can find out just as much with a single sine wave in this situation. This is because the harmonic and IM distortions are mathematically interrelated here. You will see soon enough. Also, a truncated square wave, with only a few harmonics is a joke when trying to find TIM. It just won't do it.
