Steve is just projecting his apparent inability to hear the difference between good-sounding circuits and bad-sounding circuits on you.

Instead of wasting his (and your) time trying to nay-say your project, he would do well to remember what Richard Feynman said:

"Do not keep saying to yourself, "But how can it be like that?", because you will get "down the drain", into a blind alley from which nobody has yet escaped. Nobody knows how it can be like that."

I think Steve is lonely in that blind alley, and would like some company there....

You're way off base, Charles.

The question I ask myself isn't "How can it be like that?" but rather "Is it really like that?" Which is the reasonable question to ask in any situation where there is ambiguity. And where there is ambiguity, it also seems the reasonable thing to do is to eliminate the ambiguity before moving on to the next step.
