Re: test for transients

The intermods from the square wave harmonics will all fall on top of the harmonics themselves, some will add and some subtract.

How do you figure? If you take the square wave series 1, 3, 5, 7, etc., the second order intermod products will be at 2, 4, 6, 8, etc.

1 + 3 = 4. 3 - 1 = 2, and so on.

Mmmmm... Or are you meaning that the intermod distortion products will fall on the harmonic distortion products of the components of the square wave series? In other words, the second harmonic distortion product of the fundamental will be at the same frequency as the second order f 2 - f 1 intermod distortion product?
