"Now would you classify audiophile experiences as empirical observations or testimonials?"

Testimonial for sure. That would include all the non-peer reviewed DBTs that seem to give objectivists a reason to live. None of it rises to the levels of rigor required by science to be called anything other than anecdotal. I don't claim my beliefs about what is and is not audible rises above the level of testimonial. The funny thing is most objectivists think their beliefs actual do rise above the level of anecdote. The poor fools no little about real science.
