Just a couple of quick points.

Many people believe that a plate follower (or a drain follower) will always sound better than the cathode follower. You might want to consider that.

Second... it si common mistake to think that the efficient horns will be happy with 1W or so.

In reality, a more powerful amp will make them sound even better, if it is done right.

In my experience driving the 110dB efficient horns with a 150W amplifier makes them sound substantially better than with an amplifier producing less power.

You might be amazed. Don't go just by the numbers.
