I have read the last papaer you send me.
It appears that Otala have assumed the dominant-pole
in the open-loop-transfer function to be constant and
that he have focused on the non-linearity.
In my view, that's an excellent approch to show the mapping of non-linearity to phase-modulation. However, the dominant-pole in most classical OP's are far from constant, making the PM even more considerable.

Professor Otala's paper is very nice, indicating DEEP knowledge within the fields of mathematics and electronics.

It's refreshing to notice that Otala refers to the complex frequency variable, s=sigma+j*w, as the "Laplace operator" :-)
