RE: Radio Shack PA-250 Amp

Radio Shack is made by Tandy Corporation. It is all junk. No exceptions. If you ever managed to extract 250 watts rms from this unit it would be a modern day miracle and it would be followed immediately by a melt-down.
Behringer gear is only marginally better and not suited for any kind of hi-fi home use unless all you are after is volume.
I suggest you venture onto Audiogon or Craig's List and buy something half decent. It will pay huge dividends with regards to dependability and sonic quality. Subs need clean power with lots of overhead to keep them controlled and enable them to extend below 40 hz.
Shop around. You get what you pay for.
