RE: Has noboddy here used Edirol MA-15D or M-Audio DX4 monitors ?

I have been using the M-audio DX-4 with my PC for a few years now and Ive been prety happy with them. Theres really not much to say about them, they are small, low powered, $150 nearfeild monitors. While most PC speakers go for the "boom&sizzle" type sound which works good for movies and games but usually sounds horrible for any music besides r&b/rap. M-audio descided to make a more balanced sounding speaker made more for music then gaming or movies. If our looking for booming bass and headbanging spl these speakers are not for you, if you want a reasonably smooth and detailed speaker mainly for music use then they may be just what your looking for. That being said, I would only really reccomend them if your on a really really tight budget, because for not much more money you can find much better monitors. The next step up to the $300 price range buys you alot, biamping, much more power, much better drivers....etc Heres a few to check out
