Steve, since you aren't using Integer, have you tried upsampling from Pure Music?

44.1 sounds best to me when upsampled (in PM) to 176.4.

This is probably system (and maybe even DAC) dependent, but at least here, and on the other systems I've voiced (but always with my Ayre QB-9), it was better.

I've been holding off on Lion, but maybe it's time to make the change.
