Thanks soundchekk but I've been told by a few guitarists that I need to develop calluses on my fingertips as quickly as possible, so it's important not to put moisturiser or oil on the fingertips which will soften them.

As of today my fingertips are starting to harden so I'm hopeful.

PS - never heard or seen Emu oil, but I really like Bio Oil. Very effective in fading a few scars from my accident last year. My right leg still looks terrible though, guess I'll never be a fashion model :-(
