Hi,
I originally thought that the kernel streaming output did not work at all with the Orpheus firewire interface. Actually it does work, but there is odd behavior. The first time I hit the start button, nothing plays. If I hit pause then start again, everything plays fine and plays through the playlist without issues. However, if I hit next song or previous song, playback stops and I have to hit the pause / play key combo again to get it going. This behavior does not happen with the ASIO output. I tend to agree with Fred that the Foobar kernel streaming output sounds quite good.
Has anyone else seen these problems with the kernel streaming output?
