Yes, I balance the individual channels. I mis-spoke in my previous message. There is no need for the measurement mic when working with source components, as they get a line in direct to the sound card.

Yes, I agree. The point of my original message was specific to the Benchmark compared to a variety of other DACs, not just the Cosecant. The Cosecant alters the signal, but does so in a manner that fits in very well with my otherwise all solid state system.
