RE: REVIEW: SRS Audio Sandbox

I agree wholly with the positive feedback. I am an amateur audiophile myself, and have been looking for something like this for MONTHS. The system my father have put together consist of 2 Bose 901 Loudspeakers, a Harmon-Kardon PreAmp, Yamaha Reciever, Parasound PowerAmp, Akai Equalizer, Bose 901 equalizer, Sony SACD Player, Music Hall Turntable, Turntable Amp, Subwoofer (beefy, but the name of the brand escapes me) and Bose 301 Bookshelf Speakers. I have been searching for some sort of software to mimic the quality of this system for my computer, and i must say the SRS Audio Sandbox delivered. I was amazed at the huge difference that this program made. I myself do not use mp3's. WAV is my format of choice. It retains all of the original quality of the CD. The only drawback it that each song is an average of 6 times larger than mp3's. Using the Audio Sandbox To further enhance the quality of WAV files is stunning. The only issue i have with the Audio sandbox is that while it has a large soundstage, it lacks a tight low end. The highs are wonderful, but it lacks the depth that you'd expect. Not to say that it lacks bass altogether. I like the fact that it delivers depth without the annoying and fake BOOM BOOM of lower quality systems.. The bass is there, I'd just like it to be deeper, more warmth.. guess i need an amp of some sort for my PC now....
