Abe Collins,
Although it's disappointing in some ways to have all the nice Audio Research stuff in boxes, it really was too elaborate and space consuming for office use. Worse, the listening quality was seriously reduced as I could never get any kind of good speaker placement as the office layout took precedence.
I've recently revived the Oracle > SP10 > D115 > Vandersteen system and so I can think of the office system more in it's real role and reserve the fussing and serious listening for the tube setup. I got in the habit of playing music all day during work when I needed to prepare for radio programs. The ability to stream FM from all over and in reasonable quality- I'm listening to BBC3 now- is an advantage too.
Abe, what- soundcard, DAC, speakers, music server? etc. are you using in your computer system?
Cheers,
Bambi B
