RE: Audiophile quality soundcards?

Hey Dawnrazr,

I was busy with a bunch of other stuff, gf, work...etc havent had much time for the audio forums lately:)
I guess your right that such a soundcard probably wouldnt sell very well if a company like Creative made one. But im surprised none of the smaller, low volume audiophile companies have done a nice 2 channel sound card yet. As for the whole idea that the noisy pc enviornent makes for bad sound quality, I dont really buy that, in theory it should be true, but once you hear a good sounding sound card like a Lynx, EMU, RME...that theory goes out the window. Im using an EMU1212m right now and it easily competes with any budget dac/cd player in the $500 range, and it only costs $150.
