What do you mean by "simultaneously rip one track while converting the previous one"?
Saving CD content to FLAC is necessarily a two step process. One CPU runs a process that rips the track to memory (in native format) while another CPU encodes the one previously ripped to FLAC.
By contrast, programs like EAC I once used perform serially. Rips. Stops. Encodes. Rip next track, etc. And thus functions more slowly.
