I updated my firmware, but really don't have any risk because I don't allow anything from the outside into our internal network. It's a major reason why I'm not into the internet of things. Why does anyone need to control their refrigerator or stove from the internet?
Here is the main vulnerability and it's not the NAS:
Disable the port forwarding function on the router.
