No, the Qobuz desktop player is not terrible. Do not imagine that there are millions of users of it throughout the world sitting there listening to thin sound from one channel. So it looks like you may have installed it wrongly or have configured it incorrectly. I appreciate that you seem to be new to all this. Also check the connection from your computer to your DAC as the symptoms you give could easily be related to that.

So, uninstall it and return to Qobuz "Our Apps". Make sure that you choose the correct version for your computer then download and install it.

Is it on the same device that you are running the browser version on? I am also concerned at your remark about it working with Chrome but not Opera which also indicates some odd behaviour. Incidentally I have been using it on Firefox for many years so know that works.
