RE: Complet Failure...

I'm ALWAYS overthinking things!

Well, the issue is that my DAC (Internal to my Ruby SACD player) is located where I can't use a screen large enough to make the video connection worthwhile. I was perfectly content with using my laptop screen sitting next to me, but that won't work out since I can't get the BR drive to work.

I think the only solution now is to set up an HT system where our one and only TV is located. I never thought I'd do that, but as I responded below the video can add some charms...er information in certain circumstances, but unless the audio is really good I'm not interested.

So, I need to get SOMETHING. As it stands I can't take the coax from our BR player (cheap Sony) and connect it to my amp. So it's either a DAC (Topping D10s?) using our BR player and the NAD, a new BR player (cheaper Panny) with COAX in and RCA out to use with my NAD, or an HT receiver (Pioneer has a nice looking slim HT receiver for about $400).

This is definitely NOT my forte, so DAC or other suggestions welcome. I'd rather spend $100 than $400 on this for sure!

We're getting too far afield from Computer Audio though, so maybe I should shift to the regular digital forum.
