as your uninvited pro bono legal counsel I recommend that you never mention this again even by way of apology ... 'just kidding' is appropriate if she does, but quickly change the subject, even if 'hey! look over there!' is all you can come up with on short notice, it will suffice until something comes to mind ... loud noises work too, so keep in mind that dropping pots & pans is better than dishes & won't break them

also, never, ever, and I mean but NEVER bring flowers home on a whim to 'show your affection' ... she will immediately suspect that you're taking willy for a walk on the wet side and by gawd you'll pay for it, whether or not it happened or she ever actually accuses you of this ... which she will eventually ... they never forget anything real or imagined

OK, that's my advice for marital harmony today & remember ignorance is bliss so play dumb
